Sarah Wong is a Senior Compliance Specialist with NarrowGate and has over 16 years experience in government legal departments, private enterprise and NGOs. At NarrowGate, she applies valuable experience gained through seven years of law education and an additional three years in government legal departments, and is an expert on the provisions and application of China’s Labor Contract Law.
Sarah works in partnership with factories to determine shortfalls in social compliance and appropriate remedial measures to meet legal requirements and international brands’ Codes of Conduct. She is particularly skilled at labor cost analysis and at providing practical improvements to production management systems. She has recently worked with Coach, Chico’s, Ann Taylor, Hampshire, Next and Phillips-Van Heusen.
Prior to joining NarrowGate in 2004, Sarah worked as Production Manager for Qinghai Asia Development Group Ltd, Qinghai’s first Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise. At World Vision, one of the world’s largest NGOs, Sarah was in charge of the economic development and training projects in the Yunnan Yongsheng region. She also managed the human resources and administrative functions for the Korean shipping line, Cho Yang. Sarah worked for Notary Office of Guangzhou Yuexiu District since graduated from foreign law at Guangzhou University in 1993.
