Sophie Zhu joined NarrowGate as a Compliance Specialist in 2007 with more than 10 years’ experience in social compliance, human resources management and training. At NarrowGate, Sophie’s key strength is in working closely with factories to identify management systems requiring improvement, and training all levels of staff to identify root causes and implement a comprehensive plan of action for remediation. She has frequently cooperated with famous brands in the course of her consulting.

Previously, Sophie was Compliance Manager for a well-known leather production company where she was responsible for formulating compliance policy, training employees on the full range of HR issues including wages, overtime, health & safety and related matters. She worked directly with the General Manager to meet compliance standards set by luxury leather goods retailers. Prior to this experience Sophie gained additional relevant work experience at a well-known garment factory and at Life Assurance of China Ltd.
