Joining NarrowGate as President in 2008, Jim Parsons brings to the company excellent experience spanning 35 years in manufacturing, product design, merchandising and retail operations, brand development and implementing successful growth strategies for businesses.
In 1982, following 10 years in retail operations, he founded Guildmaster, an accent furniture, wall d¨¦cor and lighting manufacturer, and co-founded Decorize in 2000, a specialty home furnishings supplier which ships directly from manufacturing bases in Asia to retailers in North America. As a member of Decorize¡¯s senior management team, Jim has worked in China for 10 years and for the last eight years has worked with over 100 factories in China, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines and for brands including Pottery Barn, Ethan Allen, Broyhill, Pier One, Bombay, Rooms to Go and Wal-Mart.
Jim excels at bringing entrepreneurial vision to businesses and the management methods and experience to grow them successfully. He is also Chairman of the Board of Lotus Buds International, an NGO which promotes adoption among Chinese families in China.
